Shaw Park Tennis Centre, one of Brisbane’s premier tennis facilities with 10 ITF standard acrylic hard courts, needed comprehensive tennis court resurfacing across their facility. As a leading destination for both recreational players and competitive athletes, the center needed a solution that would maintain their high standards while managing challenging sub-tropical conditions.
Baricsport delivered a phased tennis court resurfacing approach tailored to Shaw Park’s operational needs. Six courts received a complete recoating with CoolTop, using Nordic Blue for the court centers and Ice Blue for the surrounding areas, while two additional courts were washed and prepared for future coating phases. Two courts were maintained in their current condition to ensure continuous play throughout the project.
In northern Australia’s intense heat, CoolTop’s infrared-reflective technology becomes essential for facility operations, reducing surface temperatures that can otherwise reach uncomfortable levels during peak hours. This technology directly impacts member retention and satisfaction by extending comfortable playing times, allowing facilities like Shaw Park to maximize court utilization and maintain their reptutation as a premier tennis destination.
